Origin of Yoga

Yoga education has started around first creature on this earth. Humans are now studying it but animals have been practicing them unknowingly (which can be known in our later session).Yoga is a way of life it not only provides health, vigour, brightness and alertness to the body and mind, but also fills the life with happiness and pleasure.

“What is the use of any wealth if health is not well?”

The aim of human life and yoga is one and the same “spirituality”. The Yogic journey shows a detailed and clear path to achieve the aim of human life.

This is not some thing new which has been invented by fitness masters or yogic practiners.

The father of modern Yogashashtra Patanjali maharishi defines yoga as “YOGASCHITTA VRUTTI NIRODHAHA”. That is controlling the nature of mind.

Patanjali maharishi keeping in view the body, mind, intellect, emotions, soul (atma) and the yoga systems, conducted many researches and evolved the aspects or steps of yoga.

· Yam

· Niyam

· Asan

· Pranayaam

The above four steps have a greater effect on the body that is physical personality or external shape of the individual. These four together are called Bahirang Yoga

· Pratyahar

· Dharana

· Dhyan

· Samadhi

The above four steps will have a greater effect on the internal personality of the individual. These four put together are called Antarang Yoga.
